R.I.P. PHX

Sorry to say it Suns fans, but it seems as though our days of seeing 50+ wins during a regular season, along with MVP candidates, Coach of the Year Awards, Most Improved Player Awards, 6th Man Awards are coming to a screeching halt.  If you have been living under a rock for the past 3-4 years, the Phoenix Suns have been dominating the regular seasons but coming up short during the playoffs, mainly to the hands of the San Antonio Spurs.  So we made a bold trade for Shaq, sending one of our beloved stars, Shawn Marion, in the middle of the season to handle obstacles such as Tim Duncan.  Didn't work.  The run and gun style of offense that we played staggered.  2 time MVP Steve Nash's numbers started to diminish.  Amare flourished but to the expense of our role players.  Last night, the Spurs once again eliminated our hopes for the championship by playing aggressive defense and making us look like we didn't even know how to play basketball in the 4th quarter.  Rumor has it that Mike D'Antoni has resigned this morning.  Is it the end of an era for us? Can our Phoenix Suns rise again in the West next season?  I'm not sure but its been a fun ride for the past few seasons.  The most we can do now is hope for similar success next season.
