Thank you Tink Hatfield.

"You couldn't walk a mile off in my Air Jordans"

Hope everybody had a great weekend. You already know that your boy got in another amazing weekend. Highly unproductive, but highly entertaining. Thanks a lot fellas. Special thanks to Coco! Let's just leave it at that.

The reason I posted a picture of some icey "Air Jordan Vs," is because I saw a dude rockin these joints on the basketball courts the other day. The V's and the XI's were my all time favorite pair of AJ's. I don't know about ya'll, but I feel like shoes these days will never touch any of the retro Jordans or any of the Nikes that we grew up with. What's the deal with that? Sneaker designs will never be the same again?

Nevertheless, here is my tribute to the Nike Air Jordans, the line of shoes that has changed the game for Nike, the NBA and our society. Let's take it from the top!

Nike Air Jordan I (First released in 1985)

Nike Air Jordan II

Nike Air Jordan III

Nike Air Jordan IV (My birthday is coming up people.)

Nike Air Jordan V (A Work of Art)

Nike Air Jordan VI

Nike Air Jordan VII (my auntie got me these from Korea, a couple sizes too big. So I had to wait a couple seasons to rock these).

Nike Air Jordan VIII

Nike Air Jordan IX

Nike Air Jordan X (my mama got me these joints cause i begged her)

Nike Air Jordan XI (All time fav sneaker. I begged my mama, but she denied me, cold blooded)

Nike Air Jordan XII

Nike Air Jordan XIII

Nike Air Jordan XIV

Nike Air Jordan XV (By far the ugliest shoe ever designed)

Nike Air Jordan XVI (Was never really a fan)

Nike Air Jordan XVII (MJ's comeback shoe for the Wizards)

Nike Air Jordan XVIII (A strong candidate for the next ugliest shoe ever)

Nike Air Jordan XIX

Nike Air Jordan XX (Tink's comeback shoe. Decent shoe. Dainty ankle support, no homo).

Nike Air Jordan XXI (inspired by Ronald McDonald, clown shoes)

Nike Air Jordan XXII

Nike Air Jordan XIII (overhyped and overrated).

So which ones were you favorite?

Welcome To Phoenix Big Fella...

"Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes..."

The Phoenix Suns drafted Robin Lopez with the 15th pick in this year's NBA Draft. Both Lopez twins didn't impress me much during college, but let's see how dude reacts in the League.

In reference to the previous post, see how Sheriff Joe Arpaio reacted to the Diesel's freestyle. I guess he wasn't feelin it much. Was it that serious that you had to go and take the man's badges from him? and why is everyone all up on this story right now? The Diesel was just having a good time! He was probably a little bit inebriated, somebody gave him a mic, and he layed it down, and along the way he took some shots at his favorite pal, Kobe (tell me how my ass tastes!). Its hip hop people. Takin shots at a opponent. Nothing serious. All in good fun. Big ups to the Diesel for getting some things off his chest in a fun manner.

BIG Diesel Gettin It In....

As his lyrical skills proves to become stronger over the years, his skills on the hardwood has started to diminish.

Diesel can cut some rug as well...Take notes Kellen.

Congratulations Boston.

I'm pretty sure a ton of people in Boston will be calling in sick tomorrow morning. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of salty LA fans right now. Hahahahahaha!!!

New Music Tuesday!

Thanks to some of my friends (insert sarcasm here because I wanted to wait like the rest of ya'll to hear this) I've already heard most of the Carter III and let me be one of the first to say, classic album. My personal favorites are "Tie My Hands" featuring Robin Thicke and "Dr. Carter" which features a cameo from HOVA himself! C'mon ya'll, Weezy F has been feeding us free mixtapes for the past couple years, please do yourself and him a favor by digging deep into your pockets and cop this album. That's the least you can do for the "Best Rapper Alive."

As far as the Seeing Sounds, the latest album from super producers N.E.R.D, I've heard some mixed reviews. However, I did have the privilage to hear two songs off the album: "Everyone Nose" and "Anti Matter." Just the second song that I mentioned might be a reason to cop the album or atleast, buy that single off iTunes. Also the Everyone Nose Remix feat. Kanye, Lupe and Pusha is straight fire. Far better than the original.

TNT...We Know Drama!

After watching the 2007-2008 NBA Season, I realized that the NBA has bounced back since the Tim Donaghy scandal from the previous season. With players like Chris Paul, Lebron James, Steve Nash, etc...the game has been fun to watch. Now we have another drama unfolding in the league, Kobe Bryant, arguably the best player in the world, takes on KG, Ray Ray, and P2 in a Lakers VS. Celtics classic matchup? After watching Game 1 of the 2008 NBA Finals, I realized that we're in for a hell of a ride and a hell of a way to finish up a great season. Thank you David Stern for putting this NBA Finals together, I know that you had plenty to do with it.

Keep in mind that the 2008 NBA Draft is right around the corner. Who's going #1? If I were the Bulls, I'd pick up Beasley, dudes a beast. My beloved Suns need to swing something and pick up the home town kid Bayless so we can start grooming him to take over for Nash.

Anyways, hope all of you had a productive week and thanks for stoppin by. Have a rockstar weekend but be safe! Peace!!!

Back On My Grizzy...

"That Was A Crazy Game of Poker"

Before I begin ranting and raving about what an awesome weekend I had, I just want to give the Hirleman Siblings a quick shout out. For those of you who don't know them, they are comprised of 3 really intelligent siblings: Mark, Daniel and Emily. They are out in Vegas right now competing in the World Series of Poker. All 3 of them have advanced to the second round. I wonder how many siblings have entered the tournament together! Good luck Hirlemans!

After the viewing for the homies Jay and Jason, a bunch of us went out to Zipps to grab some dinner and some drinks. Our table looked like our cafeteria table at Hendrix Junior High back in 1998! I mean, for the most part, I still keep in touch with most of my boys; but this was a special occasion where old and new friends gathered to support one another in our time of mourning. It was great catching up with old friends and sharing old stories with new ones. I know death comes at you out of nowhere, but what I took from this experience is that friends are our greatest assets and that we should never take them for granted because they will always be there for you. I feel especially blessed because I have a solid group of friends that I have been friends with since elementary school! For those of you that don't have that type of relationship with people, I feel sorry for ya'll. Its an amazing feeling to know that some of your best friends have known you since kindergarten.

Friday night, had a farewell celebration for the boy Jaehot, who went to the motherland, aka Korea to visit his family. Hope you have a great trip fam!

Anyways, back to the recap! Jaehot, Elliot Cash, and I started the night at Stingray, for a couple sake bombers. By the way, have ya'll ever messed with Harbin Beer? If not, please go ahead and try the Harbin Bomber! Also, special thanks to the home girl Jenny for holding us down there.

We then proceeded to our next and final destination, Suede. We met up with the homies "Mr. Club Baker" and "I'm On The List Dewitz." Shout out to the homie Mr. Salazar for putting that party together. Fantastic time! Bottles and Models, my swag was on another level. Hey yo TD and TK, our swagger was pretty much undeniable. The homeboy Kellen, aka Mr. 305 looked like he came from a Pitbull video, white linen and everythang!! Bravo, only you could've pulled off that type of stuntin. Also, I'd like to send out a special shout out to that cute bachorlette and her entourage of lovely ladies in neon wigs! It was great running into ya'll ladies! Oh yeah, Call On Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Saturday, woke up quick and had a nice breakfast burrito with the homies. You know I get my chefin' in as much as I can. Put together a nice egg, ham and cheese burrito for the homies cause we gots to eat!

Next I was off to the links to play a round with my main man Dan. Older cat. Full of knowledge. Great mentor. Me in 10 years hopefully? Anyways, I had him sweating during the front nine cause I was hot!! My golf swagger was pretty much undeniable as well!! Ummm, maybe not that great, but I shot an impressive 43 (which is great for me people, don't hate) on the front 9 and finished overall with a 96 for the entire contest. Not bad for someone that hasn't played in awhile. Nonetheless I had a great time enjoying the wonderful AZ weather, having great convo with a person I respect and my golf game wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Good lookin out Dan for puttin me on.

Hope the rest of you enjoyed your weekend as much as I did. The one thing I've been relearning how to do since I've re-entered the wild, is that you have to enjoy life to the fullest with the people that you cherish the most. Real talk courtesy of your favorite fatboy!! Geeeaaaah!
